RNCH Administrative Secretary
Barb McDonald
Barb McDonald from Newcastle, NSW Australia, has been working for Robin’s Nest for over 2 years now. She came on board in
2006 to handle the Publisher files when RN was desperate due to growth. Barb has always had a mission heart especially for Africa,
having been to Uganda for 6 weeks in 1996. She grew to love the African people.
Barb has been doing the profiles of the children, photos and newsletters for some time now. She gets excited about new children
coming into the nest. The profile of each child needs to be collated, fridge magnets, photos prepared, and albums and CD’s collected
and sent off. Barb also keeps the database up to date and collates the Progress Reports from each of the RN Homes adding photos
and sending them off to the appropriate team members. Many of the RN master forms and report sheets have been designed by
Barb. All the newsletters you have received with receipts, have also been faithfully done by her.
Barb also has sponsored her own RN child in Jhansi called Abhinar ( the same age as her grandchild) and she encouraged her
Home Group to sponsor 2 children – Vinod from Jhansi and Faith from Kenya. Barb also organized the RNCH Founders to speak at
her Home Group to enlighten them about the work that was going on in the field.

One of the exciting things she enjoyed doing was to help organize the first RNCH MAD DAY Function to raise money for RN. MAD
stands for “MUSIC, ART AND DEVONSHIRE TEAS”. This event includes music and devonshire teas and many artists selling their
wares of which RN receives a proportion of their sales. As you can imagine MAD DAY takes months to prepare. Her son, Chris is
also contributing towards the music program for the Sept 08 event in Newcastle NSW.
Barb is not young and is
planning to cut back on her work
contribution for 2009, but she
has loved being a part of
developing this amazing work to
help these precious children who
would otherwise live in poverty.
Barb continues to be an
advocate for Robin’s Nest, but
we are all praying to find
someone to take on some of her
vital duties as we grow.
Please enquire or contact
us for more info on MAD DAY.
If you think you can take on
some of Barb’s jobs please
contact the founders on joerob59@hotmail.com It would be wonderful if you
could help!!
Blessings,
