*Updates for Jhansi, India*
October 2008: Jyoti - Jhansi House Mom
We at Robins Nest sadly mourn the passing of the loving, gentle and kind house mom Jyoti of our Jhansi Robins Nest in India. She died giving child birth to a healthy baby girl. Everyone is very sad in Jhansi and the baby girl was given to a Catholic baby's institute for care . Her husband has moved to Jhansi with his boy but would like his little 3 yr. old boy to stay at Robins Nest because he knows he will have a better life there than what he can provide at this time. Please pray for family and children.
June 2008: Miracle healings
We’re thrilled to tell you about some miracle healings that occurred recently to some of our robins following prayer at their local church. Bhupendra now speaks! He was tongue-tied (medical term is ankyloglossia) and couldn’t talk despite his attempts. We had tried for months to get a price off the doctor for surgery to get his tongue snipped, but he was not coming back to town for quite some time as he was working out in the villages. When we had to rely totally on God, he came through.
All four Ram children are also completely healed of their tuberculosis following prayer at church. All credit to God and thanks to you all for your ongoing prayers!
September 2007: Jhansi home visit
We’re thankful that Sandra Bamji, Chief Executor of ICARE, Sydney, was able to visit both of our RNCH homes in India this year. She visited the children in their home, met with the RNCH Jhansi committee, brought back children’s letters, took updated photos and supplied video footage. We’ll be able to use this material to produce footage to help us get the word out that RNCH is indeed a great opportunity to make a difference for children in distress through our ICARE sponsorship program.
