Ongoing Wish List

Eye care We want to pay for eye tests and glasses, where required, for every new robin.

Eye tests cost approximately AUD$5 while glasses cost around AUD$10 (frame and lenses). A total of AUD$16 per child will cover all charges including travel.

Can you help for one child or several? This is a great project for children’s churches, school classes and pre-schools to connect with.

I want to help

Used glasses (spectacles) are needed to donate to the Indian eye clinic and slums. It’s rare to see any person in glasses in the slums. We didn’t see one child wearing glasses in the entire slums. They’re too expensive and they’re more concerned with figuring out where the next morsel of food is coming from.

Toiletry bags for each child. They’ll either be shipped over or given to Veronica and Robin to take on their next visit.

Hand knitted jumpers for each child.

Wedding accessories: We’re looking for people to collect wedding accessories and dresses (especially large sizes), used to stock a self-sustainability project in Webuye, Kenya. Grace Ongeri, wife of Pastor Jackson Ongeri who oversees the Webuye orphanage project, has a little shop in the town of Webuye where she’s assisted by volunteer church women who sell and hire wedding dresses and accessories. This ‘bridal rental’ small business is used to provide much needed funds for the Webuye Robin’s Nest.
