Annu is a victim of poverty. His dad died of TB just before he was born. His mother was a street sweeper, the lowest of the caste system, and unable to provide adequately for Annu. Then on 3 December 2005 she, too, died of tuberculosis. Annu couldn’t sleep or understand what had happened until he saw her body. He is settling into RNCH Agra and loves playing on the toy car purchased from donor funds at Christmas 2005. He loves dancing and singing, too. His school performance is fair and his favourite subject is maths. His health is generally good. He is very happy now that his sister Sangeeta is also being cared for by Robin’s Nest.
