Pastor B.L. Patras is serving the Lord in Kanpur City. He had visited his new believers, Nirmala (Malti’s Aunty) when he came across Malti who is an orphan. Her Aunty could not afford to keep her and Malti had torn clothes and only one meal a day (or some days, none). The Aunty asked the Pastor if he could arrange with Rev Emmanuel Lyall to take Malti into the orphanage in Jhansi, where she would be given a better chance in life. There she would receive among other things, good education and medical assistance.
