Leah Simiyu

Leah is one of seven in the family. After hardships in her life and fear from others Leah prayed a prayer to have a heart to love the unloveable, rejected, lonely and poor. Leah was living in the next town, Bungoma. When coming to the hospital in Bungoma for some treatment she attended the church service at Deliverance Church, Bungoma. Here there was an announcement for house parents. She believes it was the Holy Spirit who directed her to this service at this time. Since getting the job as house parents Leah has been active in the church as Praise & Worship Leader but is now a dedicated Sunday School Teacher and handles the decoration ministry in the church. Leah thoroughly enjoys supporting the children in their school work, learning about God and developing their individual characters, skills and giftings. She longs to see the orphanage develop and bring more children into their care.
