Sarah’s older brother, Brian, is already being cared for by RNCH. On our visit we found Sarah and her younger sister, Loice, dressed in torn clothing.. We took some clothes and food for the family. Sarah looked happy to receive a ball and teddy. No other toys were visible. As we drove past the home approx. 20 mins later we saw Sarah twirling in a dress given to her (something no longer required by children at RNCH). Sarah’s mother, Alice, is suffering from a mental/emotional illness… as described by her sister. She is struggling to care for the two young girls. By the end of our visit, the mother was hoping we could take the children to give them proper care, nutrition and an education, as she is ill. The much older brother attempts to ensure there is some food.
