*Updates for Webuye, Kenya*
June 2008: Webuye robins safe
Unfortunately Jan Suffolk’s trip in January had to be cancelled due to the political crisis over the nation’s elections. Many people were killed, threatened and around 300,000 people displaced. This relatively peaceful country changed overnight with neighbours killing neighbours. The political troubles turned into racial clashes. The country was in turmoil. Road blocks had been set up by bandits and supplies such as food was not getting through to the people. Prices increased by 300%. This crisis also reached Webuye but, thanks to God and your prayers, nobody was harmed. While all the troubles are not yet resolved, the country has become somewhat settled for now. Please pray for this country as it has the potential to fall into chaos very quickly.

October 2007: Building works for RNCH Webuye
Please pray for RNCH Building Coordinator Jan Suffolk who will be flying to Kenya during the October 2007 school holidays to continue her good work with the purchase of land for the RNCH Webuye building project.
September 2007: Webuye Visit - Report by Jan Suffolk
This month we received a report from Jan Suffolk who worked at the Robin’s Nest Childrens home in Webuye, Kenya.
Jan feels we are now moving forward. She arranged for all the children to have medicals, started life story memory books, bought more bunk beds, a computer and printer, arranged plumbing and repairs to the leaking roof, worked with house parents to develop the list of their responsibilities, undertook book keeping, taught in the Agape children’s school, spoke at women’s groups, taught at church, checked out land and researched the best processes for us to purchase.
She returned to Australia with hand written children’s letters for their personal sponsors, updated photos and lovely video footage indicating that children are well loved in Webuye. Our hearts were touched as she told us that the committee members and house parents lovingly and proudly call each little robin ‘their son and/or daughter’.
Jan is worth her weight in gold as she worked for RNCH for an entire month with her only intentions being to help the children and Robin’s Nest to move forward. She plans to return in September if funds come available for her to oversee the purchase and developing of the land. I have confidence that Jan will be richly rewarded in heaven by sharing her talents so unconditionally and unselfishly.

January 2007: Sharon’s smile
“Sharon's smile is getting bigger each time I see a photo of her. This smile can only be of God, if you would have seen her when I first saw her. This smile is a miracle. She is blossoming into a lovely young girl.” Robin Byrnes, Co-founder RNCH.

15 May 2004: First orphanage ever in Webuye!
